The Flight Monitor is responsible for real-time monitoring of drone flights within the Prime Air team, ensuring operational compliance and maintaining safety and efficiency. They will monitor flight status, respond to deviations, coordinate with teams to mitigate risks, and prepare reports on flight activities. The role requires adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives, and involves physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long shifts.
Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor the status of all active drone flights within the assigned region, utilizing our state-of-the-art monitoring systems.
- Identify and respond to any deviations from planned flight paths or operational parameters.
- Ensure all drone flights comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
- Coordinate effectively with the relevant teams to implement immediate response strategies to mitigate risks and resolve situations.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on flight activities, incidents, and anomalies. Provide feedback and insights to support continuous operational improvement.
- Utilize excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills while maintaining a high attention to detail in all tasks.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills while working effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Adhere to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Travel up to 25% of the time
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Can demonstrate strong attention to safety and ability to follow detailed procedures ### Preferred qualifications

- The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
