The Flight Monitor is responsible for real-time monitoring of drone flights within the Amazon Prime Air team, ensuring operational compliance and maintaining high safety and efficiency standards. The role involves continuously monitoring active drone flights, identifying and responding to deviations, coordinating with teams to mitigate risks, and preparing detailed reports on flight activities and incidents. This position is central to Prime Air's commitment to delivering packages safely and reliably through its advanced drone fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor the status of all active drone flights within the assigned region, utilizing our state-of-the-art monitoring systems.
  • Identify and respond to any deviations from planned flight paths or operational parameters.
  • Ensure all drone flights comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
  • Coordinate effectively with the relevant teams to implement immediate response strategies to mitigate risks and resolve situations.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on flight activities, incidents, and anomalies. Provide feedback and insights to support continuous operational improvement.
  • Utilize excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills while maintaining a high attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills while working effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Adhere to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • Travel up to 25% of the time
  • Can work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Can demonstrate strong attention to safety and ability to follow detailed procedures ### Preferred qualifications
