The Prime Air Area Manager is a front-line leader responsible for executing daily operations at a Prime Air Drone Delivery Station. You will lead and support teams across flight operations, ground handling, and fulfillment to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused delivery performance. You will drive key operational metrics including safety, quality, and delivery efficiency, monitor real-time operations to remove barriers, and partner with Operations Managers and cross-functional teams to execute staffing and operational plans. You will directly manage a team of hourly associates, overseeing scheduling, performance management, and day-to-day coaching and development.

Responsibilities

  • Prime Air is seeking a Prime Air Area Manager, where you will serve as a front-line leader responsible for executing daily operations at a Prime Air Drone Delivery Station. You will lead and support teams across flight operations, ground handling, and fulfillment to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused delivery performance. In this role, you will drive key operational metrics including safety, quality, and delivery efficiency; monitor real-time operations to remove barriers and maintain system uptime; and partner with Operations Managers and cross-functional teams to execute staffing and operational plans. You will ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, identify and implement process improvements, develop and coach associates, and provide clear escalation and communication during active operations. In this role, you will directly manage a team of hourly associates, overseeing scheduling, performance management, and day-to-day coaching and development. In partnership with HR, you will address associate relations matters including attendance, performance concerns, and corrective action as needed, while also maintaining accurate timekeeping, headcount tracking, and staffing records for your team.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of direct people management, including performance management and employee development experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced, automated, industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environment
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Can work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather conditions, including working outside in outdoor temperatures and refrigerated environments
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing performance metrics to identify areas of opportunity that will drive performance improvement
  • Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
  • Can show a demonstrated record of good attendance and the ability to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts ### Preferred qualifications

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
