Prime Air Ground Handler, Amazon - Prime Air

This role supports Amazon Prime Air's drone delivery operations as a ground handler. The associate will handle and organize equipment, monitor airspace, assist with warehouse tasks, execute standard operating procedures, engage with the community, document activities, and deliver packages by car. The role requires working various shifts, including nights and weekends, and involves physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• * Support daily drone operations by handling and organizing equipment, including batteries and related components
• * Monitor airspace in the area of operations and report any potential hazards or obstacles
• * Assist with basic warehouse tasks including inventory management and package preparation
• * Execute standard operating procedures while maintaining safety and compliance standards
• * Engage positively with community members and address basic inquiries about our operations
• * Document and report operational activities using standard templates and tools
• * Safely and efficiently deliver packages to customers by car, ensuring on-time arrival, accurate handling, and providing excellent service while adhering to all traffic laws and company safety standards

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting
• Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
• Can demonstrate strong attention to safety and ability to follow detailed procedures
• Can travel to local sites up to 25% of the time
• Can provide valid Drivers License ### Preferred qualifications

Nice to have

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
• Knowledge of aviation terminology and regulations
• Experience in warehouse or logistics
• Experience in aviation, aerospace, or drone operations

As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
