Software Dev Engineer II, Prime Air

Prime Air is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and test critical features for embedded applications and platforms that power the Prime Air Drone. The role involves performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes for complex functional and performance issues, as well as collaborating with hardware teams and vendors to enable new computing hardware and functionality. The engineer will work with a team of top-notch developers and research teams to solve real-world delivery challenges.

Responsibilities

• * Design, develop and test critical features for embedded applications and platforms that power the Prime Air Drone.
• * Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes for complex functional and performance issues.
• * Collaborate with our hardware teams and vendors to enable new computing hardware and functionality.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience
• Experience in embedded development in C/C++ ### Preferred qualifications

Nice to have

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with board bring-up and debugging hardware through the use of logic analyzers, oscilloscopes etc.
