Amazon Prime Air is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to oversee the development of functionality within its ultra-fast drone delivery operations. The role ensures high standards for certifying airborne systems, working with design and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement in drone design and system integration. You will oversee software and hardware development, verification and validation, configuration management, flight test campaigns, and quality assurance to launch the next generation drone. Strong cross-functional engineering fundamentals and technical communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive program level milestone tracking and implementation, dependency mapping, and schedule updates.
- Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, presenting strategies and results to senior leadership and operational partners
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules ### Preferred qualifications
Nice to have
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
