As an Electronic Technician, you will join a team developing next-generation unmanned aircraft systems for the Electronic Warfare business unit. Your role involves precision manufacturing and assembly of aircraft electrical systems, including building and installing wire harnesses, wire stripping, connector terminations, and high-quality soldering. You will test, diagnose, and troubleshoot sophisticated electronic and control systems to ensure peak performance and reliability of mission-critical unmanned air vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Constructs, maintains, and tests complex electrical systems and components.
  • Supports the development, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing processes with a focus on efficiency and quality.
  • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Uses measuring and diagnostics tools to test and modify electronic parts.
  • Ensures systems and components meet established specifications.
  • Prepares complete project design documentation.
  • Designs and conduct experiments and analyzes and interprets data.
  • Assigns tasks to and direct other technicians.
  • Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the work.
  • Prepares scopes, budgets and schedules for assignment and equipment.
  • Possibility of up to 25% traveling.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics or other related field and 10+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Effective knowledge of Schematic Capture and PCB layout software.
  • Experience with RF/Microwave test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, vector signal analyzers, oscilloscopes).
  • Expert soldering skills.
  • Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical specialization.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products.
  • Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.
