This role leads a team of installation technicians deploying BRINC's Drone as a First Responder (DFR) program at customer sites nationwide. You will manage the full operational lifecycle of multi-site hardware and software installations, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope. The position requires frequent travel (75%) to engage with installers and customers, and involves close collaboration with engineering and internal stakeholders to improve installation procedures and hardware.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of installers, schedule resources for projects, track progress, optimize workflows, and ensure installations are completed on schedule.
- Set clear expectations, goals, and performance standards while fostering an inclusive and positive team culture.
- Conduct performance reviews and evaluations; facilitating training and skill development.
- Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
- Drive customer success through building and maintaining strong relationships with Public Safety customers, understanding and proactively addressing their needs, concerns, and ensuring timely service throughout implementation.
- Partner with engineering and internal stakeholders to inform best installation procedures, documentation, and hardware ecosystem enhancements based on field experience. Advocate for customer needs based on feedback
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Travel to customer sites in varying weather conditions to assemble, troubleshoot, and maintain BRINC hardware and software, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years in project, operations, or resource management; 4+ years managing people in a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced in booking and managing all aspects of travel, including flights, accommodations, ground transportations, and itineraries.
- Working knowledge of electronics, low/high voltage wiring, hardware assembly and troubleshooting; familiarity with MacOS, Windows, or Linux; basic networking aptitude.
- Ability to assemble and disassemble products following installation guidelines and manuals.
- Comfortable and able to safely work at heights (ladders, rooftops, structures), lift and carry heavy objects, and operate in varying weather conditions.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Self directed, collaborative, and an effective communicator; comfortable working autonomously.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, leading with initiative and staying ahead of challenges before they arise.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time; reside within 1.5 hours from a major airport.
- Must possess a valid US driver's license
- FAA 107 sUAS Certification
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background and driving record check.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly of electronics for Aerospace, Robotics, Automotive, Consumer Electronics, or related industries.
- Experience manufacturing UAV/UAS systems or infrastructure for commercial, industrial, or defense applications.
- Operational Experience with DFR and/or Public Safety Drone Programs.
- Knowledge of the Google Office Automation suite.
- Technical Proficiency in Drone Hardware and Software.
