As a Manufacturing Manager at BRINC, you will lead the manufacturing team in producing life-saving public safety technology. You will oversee daily production operations, manage resource allocation, and ensure efficient workflow across multiple production lines. This role begins on second shift with an anticipated transition to day shift within 4-6 months. You will coordinate cross-functional activities, optimize production processes, and maintain quality standards while developing and mentoring a team of skilled Production Technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day activities of the manufacturing team (10+ technicians)
  • Develop and mentor Production Technicians to ensure skill growth and team success, including recruiting/hiring, training, and performance management
  • Prioritize and allocate work effectively to meet production deadlines
  • Implement and maintain production standards and quality control measures
  • Manage and optimize production floor layout and workflow
  • Monitor supply chain activities and inventory levels to prevent production disruptions
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain team to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Participate in production planning and resource allocation decisions
  • Act as primary liaison between Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Inventory teams
  • Escalate technical issues promptly and drive resolution through appropriate channels
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
  • Participate in strategic planning for production capacity and capability expansion
  • Lead by example by maintaining hands-on capability with production processes and assembly techniques
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of production equipment
  • Guide team in complex troubleshooting scenarios
  • Review and approve production documentation and process changes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with 3+ years in leadership roles
  • Proven experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) software systems
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills
  • Advanced understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to build and mentor teams
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to analyze production metrics and implement improvements

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering/technical field; or extensive relevant experience.
  • Experience in drone manufacturing, aerospace, or adjacent industries
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Knowledge of advanced drone systems and electronics manufacturing
  • Experience in implementing or optimizing ERP/MES systems
  • Background in regulatory compliance for aerospace or defense manufacturing
  • Experience with automated production systems
