As a Field Service Representative, you will provide technical support for CACI's EO/IR gimbal systems, traveling to customer sites to install, commission, maintain, and repair advanced ISR and counter-drone systems. You will diagnose and troubleshoot complex electro-optical and mechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and provide training to customers. You will also document service activities and collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance.
Responsibilities
- Install, integrate, and commission EO/IR gimbal systems at customer locations
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electro-optical and mechanical systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades to ensure peak performance
- Follow established troubleshooting and maintenance procedures and contribute to their continuous improvement based on field experience
- Provide technical training and support to customers and end-users
- Travel extensively (50-75%) to support field operations across diverse environments
- Document service activities and maintain detailed technical reports
- Collaborate with engineering teams to relay field feedback and drive improvements
Requirements
- AS degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in customer support and United States Government program experience or a BS Degree in a relevant field
- Extensive electronics training and troubleshooting experience (military electronics training, vocational/technical certifications, or equivalent)
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (50-75%)
- Passport may be required after hire
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic test equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, power systems, and electronic components
- Mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer interaction and technical documentation
- Ability to work in various physical positions (standing, kneeling, climbing, confined spaces) and diverse environmental conditions (extreme temperatures, weather, altitude)
- Must be able to explain issues encountered related to manufacturing and work with appropriate individuals to resolve them
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
Nice to have
- Prior military experience with high-tech electronics systems (avionics, radar, communications, EO/IR sensors, or similar)
- Experience or knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and/or 5S methodologies.
- Experience with gyro-stabilized systems, gimbals, or precision optical equipment
- Background in aerospace, defense, or ISR systems
- Field service experience in dynamic operational environments
- Familiarity with aviation, maritime, or unmanned systems platforms
- Active Secret clearance already in place
- Local to the Bozeman, MT area
