この役割は、電動垂直離着陸(eVTOL)航空機プログラムにおいて、飛行制御、アビオニクス、および電源システムの開発と統合を主導・監督するものです。システムアーキテクチャの定義、技術監督、規制コンプライアンス、および部門横断的な協力を担当し、航空宇宙基準に準拠した設計、開発、試験、認証を確実にします。

Responsibilities

  • V & V
  • System Architecture & Integration
  • Oversee the definition and integration of aircraft systems including flight control, avionics, electrical power distribution, battery systems, propulsion powertrains, thermal management, and avionics power interfaces.
  • Ensure robust system architecture to meet safety, reliability, and performance requirements.
  • Technical Oversight
  • Provide technical guidance on system-level design, trade studies, modeling/simulation, and failure modes analysis.
  • Review design documentation, schematics, interface control documents (ICDs), and verification/validation plans.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Certification
  • Ensure systems meet applicable aviation standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA/JCAB , DO-160, ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, etc.).
  • Coordinate with certification authorities and support safety assessments including FHA, PSSA, and SSA.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with flight controls, propulsion, avionics, software, structures, and manufacturing teams to ensure integrated system performance.
  • Interface with suppliers and partners for outsourced components and systems.
  • Program Management Support
  • Collaborate with project managers to define scope, schedule, budget, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Track progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) and report status to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in aerospace systems and power development.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong understanding of avionics, flight control systems, electric propulsion, high-voltage power systems, energy storage, and system integration.
  • Proven experience with aerospace standards, safety analysis, and certification processes.
  • Proficient in system engineering tools and processes (MBSE, SysML, requirements management).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in eVTOL, UAM, or electric aircraft development programs.
  • Knowledge of hybrid-electric or distributed propulsion systems.
  • Experience with environmental testing and thermal management strategies.
  • Familiarity with Agile development in hardware/software integration environments.
