Responsibilities
- Methodology and Execution: Plan and execute structural analysis and testing strategies in accordance with structural assurance requirements (e.g., Building Block Approach) for eVTOL certification.
- Technical Excellence: Lead detailed structural analyses of complex eVTOL components (CFRP and metallic), ensuring full compliance with strength, stiffness, fatigue, damage tolerance, and impact resistance requirements.
- Advanced Analysis: Evaluate complex stress, strain, and deformation characteristics under static, dynamic, vibratory, and thermal loads.
- Certification Documentation: Develop and maintain critical documentation required for certification (e.g., EASA/FAA), including stress reports, test plans, and compliance matrices, acting as a key technical contributor during authority audits.
- Peer Mentoring: Act as a technical reference within the team, providing guidance, peer review support, and mentoring to less experienced engineers to promote best engineering practices.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (over 5 years) in structural analysis in the aerospace industry (preferably with composite aircraft, helicopters, or eVTOL programs).
- Solid experience in calculation, analysis, and reporting on complex metal and CFRP composite structures.
- Advanced proficiency in Nastran (for linear/non-linear static and dynamic analysis) and LS-DYNA (for explicit dynamics/impact resistance).
- Deep knowledge of mechanics of materials, classical manual calculations, composite failure criteria, and fatigue/damage tolerance (DTA) principles.
- Proven ability to independently conduct technical projects and foster a collaborative environment.
Nice to have
- Deep understanding of specific certification frameworks (e.g., EASA SC-VTOL, FAA Part 23/27) and guidelines for composites (e.g., CMH-17, AC 20-107B).
- Experience in structural requirements analysis and development of comprehensive structural certification and testing plans.
- Experience in planning structural modifications and root cause analysis for failures or nonconformities in tests.
- Extensive knowledge of aeronautical engineering in general, enabling effective interdepartmental collaboration (aerodynamics, systems, testing).
Benefits
- 115 days off per year Saturday / Sundays / New year holidays(12/29~1/3) / Company designated holidays)
- Annual paid leave
- Refresh leave (Granted after 1, 3, 4, 5 years of service)
