In this role, you will own critical subsystems of the aircrafts and ground systems for DoorDash Air, designing mechatronics systems from a blank sheet. You will collaborate closely with firmware, systems, mechanical engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and reliability teams to bring drone delivery to reality. Your designs will operate complex mechanisms in the field and in the air within a year.

  • Impact how our customers and merchants interact with our systems
  • You’ll own the electrical design while collaborating closely with firmware, systems and mechanical engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and reliability teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have 5+ years of experience designing electronics circuit in highly cross-functional work environments
  • You feel at home in the lab, building prototypes to identify the best sensors and actuators for an application, and how to control them
  • You can debug a complex system and identify issues caused by signal integrity, electromagnetic interference, hardware design errors or firmware bugs.
