Drone Intern

Location: Subic Bay Freeport Zone,Central Luzon,Philippines

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy Drone Intern to join our Robotics Team, supporting ongoing projects that involve aerial data collection, automation, and integration with robotics systems. This internship is open to graduating students and fresh graduates who are passionate about drone technology, robotics, and field applications.

The location of work is in Subic Bay Freeport Zone

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and preparing drone flight missions based on specific project requirements (e.g., aerial mapping, inspections, photography, or videography).
• Conduct pre-flight checks, calibrations, and maintenance of drone equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Comply with all local drone operation regulations and internal safety protocols.
• Stay updated on the latest drone technologies, trends, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with technical teams and supervisors to ensure that drone operations meet project goals and timelines.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. 

Qualifications to be successful in the role: 

• Currently a graduating student or a recent graduate of BS in Engineering, Information Technology, or any related course
• With a strong interest in drone technology, aerial mapping, or remote sensing
• Basic knowledge in drone operations or experience using drones (even in academic projects) is an advantage
• Willing to be trained in drone flight operations, data capture, and processing
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
