We seek a passionate and highly skilled Embedded System Engineer to join our Wireless Team working for Nokia Drone Networks. As a System Engineer, you will develop, test, and integrate advanced wireless systems for drones and autonomous applications. With your programming skills (C++/C#/Python), you will partner with cross-functional teams. Will work closely with customers and partners to deliver robust, high-quality solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize embedded software and firmware for drones and autonomous platforms.
- Integrate flight controllers and communication systems to ensure high reliability and performance.
- Design and implement application and platform layer features for autonomy and connectivity.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support customer-specific requirements and project roadmaps.
- Drive and participate in system integration and testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Work with customers and external partners to address technical challenges, ensuring solution alignment.
- Document system designs, test plans, and results to maintain high-quality standards.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
You have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent degree with 10+ years experience of working with complex applications and platforms, including 3+ years in layers/features design and development for drones, robotics, and autonomy applications.
- Development/coding/programming experience of 5+ years using C#/C++/Python or any other language.
- Practical experience with flight controller firmware development and integration.
- Knowledge of Linux and its networking layer.
- Current or prior experience with NVIDIA or Qualcomm products/chips is highly desirable.

- Partnered with customers/external partners within cross-functional project teams and worked across time zones within a global product development organization.
