As Systems Engineer - Externals Integration you will be responsible for externals integration across the different modules for the Catalyst Eurodrone engine model. In this role you will ensure achievement of engine reliability, performance, maintainability and certification objectives as well as focusing on cost and weight by pursuing externals and components integration opportunities of externals functional sub-systems (air, electrical, fuel, oil lines and components groups, as far as engine dressing and other mechanical structures such as plenum walls/fire barriers). As Externals Integration Systems Engineer will also serve as requirement owner and interface owner for the external and accessories domain as far as driving externals significant technical issues to resolution.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Performs inter and intra-module integration of engine externals by functional subsystems (i.e. air lines and components group, fuel lines and component group, electrical hardness and component group, oil lines and components group, other engine dressing and mechanical structures such as plenum assy or fire barriers) for the Externals of Catalyst Eurodrone engine configurations.

  • Responsible for defining product requirements and interfaces for the Catalyst Eurodrone externals and engine assy accessories/components integration ensuring engine requirement flow down.

  • Responsible for driving CTQ / Risk trades within the teams designing the components and interfacing parts.

  • Oversee the overall external configuration including Fuel, Electrical and Control related components.

  • Integrate Externals project plans with other commodities and organizations interfacing with IPT Leader for the Controls components plans.

  • Accountable for Externals cost, provides leadership for cost reduction initiatives and in particular looks for external integration and simplification opportunities working in collaboration with CTP, Repair, MRO shops and MCRB module cost leaders.

  • Provide Systems Engineering leadership and execution for externals and externals integration projects, related design reviews and MTDC projects. 

  • Collaborate with Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Component Repair and the CTP teams to support timely engine overhaul.

  • Coordinate rapid communication of issues (Manufacturing, QEM, Field Findings, Safety…) across System, LCE and Product Management teams and ensure the necessary engagement cross-functionally to evaluate and resolve any issue in a timely manner.  

  • Provide field problem resolution guidance and support including leadership for key root cause investigations for externals.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, master's in Mechanical/Aeronautical preferred

  • Experience with engine Configurations/Externals or LRUs components.

  • Experience in the design, analysis, manufacture or testing of mechanical components.

  • Experience with complex mechanical components and their system integration

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Demonstrated collaboration across functions, organizations, and broad global time zones

  • English fluent language knowledge, both written and oral

  • Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required.
