As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Flytrex, you will be part of the mechanical team responsible for developing drones and sub-assemblies, leading the full product lifecycle from concept through prototyping and production. You will own complex mechanical engineering initiatives, collaborate cross-functionally, and solve mechanical problems during prototype evaluation. This role is based in central Tel Aviv and supports the company's U.S. expansion in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of complex mechanical engineering and design initiatives.
- Comprehensive Design Lifecycle: Leading the process from initial concepts through detailed 3D modeling and engineering.
- Technical Documentation: Preparing and maintaining production data, including assembly guides, technical drawings, and BOMs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Contributing to physical prototyping and cross-disciplinary development projects.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and fixing mechanical problems during the prototype evaluation phase.
- Expertise & Collaboration: Serving as a technical resource while supporting routine operations and team objectives.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering - must.
- 10+ years of experience in complex multidisciplinary system development - must.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM systems.
- Extensive hands-on expertise in plastics, metal, and carbon materials across all types of designs.
- High level of English, both written and verbal- must.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Proven history of operating within a start-up environment and fast-paced workflows.
- Methodical approach to technical documentation and project presentation.
- Passionate about lab experiments and physical prototyping.
- Thrive within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Nice to have
- Preferred: Background in UAV, aerospace, or high-performance robotics.
