As an ADNS Field Engineer, you will join the NIWC Atlantic ADNS team to deliver reliable communication services globally. You will work with a team of professionals in the design, maintenance, and modernization of complex networks supporting multiple Navy platforms afloat, airborne, and ashore. Your role involves providing technical advice, onsite support, and troubleshooting LAN architecture to ensure reliable service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, and enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems.
- Offer onsite technical support to NCTAMS LANT and St. Julien's Creek Annex.
- Review project documents and provide technical review comments.
- Create IDPS based on IRD and site surveys.
- Initiate and evaluate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
- Attend Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot LAN architecture, resolving network traffic flow issues over complex, multi-node, tactical WAN/LAN environments.
- Develop integrated Naval enterprise logical and physical LAN architectures.
- Create, modify, and troubleshoot firewall rules and configurations.
- Develop and implement test strategies and document results.
Requirements
- ● Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience supporting Navy ADNS and secure/non-secure networks afloat and/or ashore with at least 4 years supporting ADNS Airborne efforts. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Practical understanding of Cisco Routing & Switching to include: Fundamentals of routing and switching, Routing Protocols, Access Control Lists, VLANs, VLAN Trunking, Subnetting, 802.1X NAC, and Secure Group Tagging.
- Working knowledge of the NAVY’s FRCB process and DISA network operations
- Working knowledge of DISA circuit provisioning, troubleshooting process
- Working knowledge of Triton UAV's and their connectivity paths
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support
