As a Battlemaster at GDIT, you will support the Flight School Training Support Services (FSTSS) program, working in training development and tactical deployment of aviation assets in simulation. You will assist customers in developing and executing training scenarios, conduct formal briefings to senior army officers, and manage cockpit simulators. You will use your US Army Aviation experience to guide realistic training and coordinate with course instructors to synchronize mission events.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in the development and execution of training scenarios to meet their training objectives.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Conduct formal briefings to senior army officers and other personnel.
  • Work in a variety of simulation and gaming environments.
  • Use computer simulation and gaming technologies to create and manage a virtual operational environment for military mission training.
  • Use US Army Aviation experience to guide realistic training, roleplay various aviation positions, ground forces, Opposing Forces, etc.
  • Manage cockpit simulators: initialize devices, load scenarios and student planned operations, coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with course instructors on synchronizing events in missions, injecting mission changes, recording key events for After Action Review (AAR).

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Required Experience: 6 years of related experience.
  • Ability to acquire a Secret Clearance.
  • Competence to conduct formal briefings to senior army officers and other personnel.
  • Army aviation experience, including Tactical Operations Center (TOC) and Command Posts (CP) experience.
  • Experience in training education and instructional design.
  • Ability to read/comprehend written and verbal military orders and guide junior personnel.
  • Knowledge of current Army air frames and their general capabilities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communications skills to develop training programs and procedures.
  • Good interpersonal skills to facilitate effective working relationships with customers and team members.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Possess basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Programs

Nice to have

  • Ability to work in a variety of simulation gaming environments including but not limited to OneSAF.
  • Working knowledge of the Command Post systems (CPOF/CPCE).
  • UAS experience.
  • Combat aviation experience or combination of NTC or JRTC deployments.
  • Experience or education in adult theories of learning, instructional design practices, evaluating program effectiveness.
  • Familiarization with Army DOTD publications and directives. Knowledge of doctrinal, tactical, technical, and conceptual aspects of aviation tactics.
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and technical certifications, training, or work/military experience including curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, evaluation of instructional materials.
