Griffon Aerospace is seeking an Electrical Inspector to join the quality team in Madison, Alabama. The role involves inspecting wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies for both prototype development and production of UAV electronics systems. The inspector will document results, collaborate with engineering and production teams, and ensure compliance with IPC standards and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

Inspect wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies using engineering drawings and IPC standards
Perform receiving inspection on harnesses and electrical assemblies from suppliers
Document inspection results and technical findings
Collaborate with engineering and production to identify and resolve issues
Support both engineering prototype builds and production manufacturing efforts
Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with safety and quality standards

Requirements

3+ years of experience in electrical inspection
Experience working with circuit boards and wiring harnesses
Prior experience in aerospace, defense industry, or military electronics (technical military occupational specialty)
Working knowledge and understanding of IPC standards including J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-A-620
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations and able to access ITAR and CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information)
Ability to work in both engineering development and production manufacturing environments

Nice to have

IPC J-STD-001 (Soldering) certification
IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) certification
IPC-A-620 (Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies) certification
Familiarity with military specifications and standards
