Manufacturing Technician

This role involves operating and monitoring automated manufacturing machinery, performing firmware flashing and updates on electronics, conducting functional testing, assembling electronics into enclosures, recording traceability data, and preparing products for packing and dispatch. The technician will follow quality, safety, and production procedures to ensure consistent, specification-compliant manufacturing. The position emphasizes quality over quotas, offering flexibility and autonomy in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated manufacturing machinery
• Perform firmware flashing and updates on electronics in accordance with production requirements.
• Conduct functional testing to confirm products meet required specifications
• Assemble electronics into enclosures.
• Accurately record traceability data throughout the manufacturing process.
• Prepare products for packing and dispatch in accordance with work instructions.
• Follow relevant quality, safety and production procedures to ensure products are manufactured consistently and to specification.

Requirements

• Experienced in electronics manufacturing, with the ability to perform core tasks with minimal supervision.
• Experienced assembling, testing and reworking PCBAs and electronic products.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Someone who takes ownership of their work and isn't afraid to identify and address quality issues.
