Flight Test Operator 3

Als Flight Test Operator unterstützen Sie die Integration und Erprobung neuer Hardware- und Software-Roadmaps bei Insitu. Sie bedienen und warten Flugzeuge und zugehörige Ausrüstung, führen Flugoperationen in kontrolliertem Luftraum durch und erlangen mehrere Systemqualifikationen. Sie arbeiten eng mit dem Team zusammen, um die Einsatzbereitschaft und Sicherheit der Systeme zu gewährleisten.

Responsibilities

• ​Operate and maintain aircraft and associated equipment to support engineering, production, demonstrations, and training activities within the Flight Operations department.
• Serve as a maintainer for aircraft and hardware, ensuring all systems are mission ready and compliant with safety standards.
• Conduct flight operations and evolutions in company controlled, Pendleton, Boardman, and national airspace multiple times each week.
• Achieve and maintain required medical clearance for participation in government programs.
• Obtain and actively utilize multiple system qualifications as operational needs demand.
• Troubleshoot, integrate, and maintain system architecture for seamless mission execution.
• Provide instruction and mentorship to new students and previously qualified personnel to maintain team proficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to support enterprise-wide objectives.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Aviation, Military Aviation experience or 2-3 years of practical knowledge and experience working with Insitu unmanned systems.
• A working expertise with Insitu tracking programs and library documentation.
• Must be willing to work fully onsite in Bingen, WA.
• Current or previous qualification as an Insitu UAS Operator and Maintainer.
• Willing to commute in the company vehicle from Bingen to company flying ranges.
• Able to obtain a class II medical certification.
• Able to drive company vehicles and has a current clean DMV record.

Nice to have

• Maintainer deployed or similar exp. is preferred but not required.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
