El operador de SkyCam es responsable de la operación segura y efectiva del sistema de cámaras aéreas SkyCam durante transmisiones en vivo, asegurando el encuadre, enfoque y adquisición estabilizada de tomas. Trabaja bajo supervisión general y colabora directamente con el piloto, el EIC, el gerente de operaciones técnicas y el NOC para garantizar la instalación segura y el funcionamiento del sistema. También participa en reuniones de cámaras, representa las capacidades seguras ante los clientes y comunica cualquier problema técnico o irregularidad. El rol implica viajes extensos y trabajo en entornos de alta presión.
Responsibilities
- Frame, Focus and provide stabilized acquisition of directed and undirected shots through use use remote heads and gimbals.
- Follow and Operate the SkyCam system within the safe protocols and procedures established.
- Interfaces directly with the Pilot, EIC, and Technical Operations Manager and NOC to ensure safe and proper installation.
- Capable of flying and orienting and positioning SkyCam system for camera operators live events
- Familiar with the operation of all necessary tools and the various pieces and parts to assemble and rig the system.
- Works under the direction of the NOC & Technical Operations Manager regarding the deployment of the system and the maintenance and repair of the systems.
- Communicates all technical needs and irregular operations to the onsite Pilot, EIC, NOC and TOM
- Attends Camera meetings and represents safe capabilities to clients
- While on client job sites, responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Equipment setup and operation.
- Interfacing with client and venue personnel.
- Safe operation of equipment (weather, equipment breakdowns, etc.)..
- Report and directly communicate all equipment issues and recommendations to the Pilot, EIC, TOM and NOC.
- Provide updates to site surveys as needed.
- Ensure all safety schedules and protocols are flowed including Pre-Flight, NOC, and flight parameters
Requirements
- High school diploma required. High School or GED
- One (1) year of progressively responsible experience in remote camera/ pan/tilt head operation, aircraft operation and control, drone operation and control, and/or a strong background preferably in media, broadcasting, technical, IT, engineering, or production industry.
- Proficient in the use of MS Windows and an understanding of basic electronics and networking is a must.
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred (AS or Technical School acceptable).
