The Tech Specialist 4 will join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit, leading complex technical discussions, projects, and programs. This role involves validating technical solutions, ensuring engineering best practices, managing technical risk, and providing oversight to engineering teams. The specialist prepares client-specific physical security technology solutions, including access control, intrusion detection, video management, and complex integrations, and supports field teams during deployment and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Leading complex technical discussions, projects, and/or programs.
  • Validating world class technical solutions on projects.
  • Ensuring engineering best practices are followed across multiple engineering and solution disciplines.
  • Managing technical risk on a project.
  • Providing oversight, direction, and technical expertise to engineering teams on a project.
  • Preparing client-specific physical security technology solutions including cutting edge credential technology, AI vision systems, drone and drone interdiction systems, access control, intrusion detection, video management systems, and complex integrations.
  • Driving the development and maintenance of project artifacts from the requirements capture stage through the launch of new technology.
  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing work process improvements.
  • Reviewing technical project details with project leadership.
  • Managing the integration of data from multiple systems and analyzing the data to draw insights on project technical solutions.
  • Program various technology application systems by adding devices and configuring for operation.
  • Provide System Support to the Integrators/LSPs in the field during deployment.
  • Provide commissioning/testing support at the software level for the field teams.
  • Monitor operational systems for errors and alerts
  • Troubleshoot various technologies related to access control, video, and building management systems.
  • Document daily functions and the troubleshooting process to create and revise playbooks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with 12+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of electronic security systems or
  • Associates with 10+ years of experience or
  • Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years experience or
  • Master's Degree with 5+ years experience
  • System administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions
  • Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends

  • Vendor certifications for electronic systems preferred
