The Hardware Platform Technical Leader will lead Project Darwin, an initiative combining Vantor's Precision 3D mapping technology with proprietary hardware to enhance resistance to electronic warfare while maintaining navigation accuracy. This role involves system design, architecture, and tradeoffs, forming and leading the team, overseeing design implementation and production rollout, engaging directly with key customers, and collaborating with the software lead to launch prototypes under tight timelines. The position operates in a startup-like environment within Vantor, leveraging the Tensorglobe platform and customer network.

Responsibilities

System design, architecture and tradeoffs. This candidate will be involved in all aspects of conceptualizing the design, and turning it into physical reality
Interviewing junior candidates, selecting and forming the team
Design implementation, testing, production rollout
Direct engagement with key customers
Working closely with the software lead to launch initial prototypes with challenging timelines and rapid execution

Requirements

Hands-on expertise in autonomous drone hardware design and implementation as a tech lead
Extensive knowledge of EW resistant RF design
Knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric encryption and RF transmission
Extensive familiarity with common drone HW/SW operating platforms such a Ardupilot and PX4
US Citizen required, ability to hold clearance desirable
Willing to relocate to Denver area
