Mayvin, en colaboración con FEMA y el Instituto de Minería y Tecnología de Nuevo México (NMTIMT), busca Especialistas en la Materia (SME) e Instructores de Evaluación y Respuesta con Drones (DART) para impartir formación de vanguardia a socorristas y personal de emergencias. La instrucción se ofrece mediante una combinación de clases teóricas, ejercicios prácticos y demostraciones de campo en el Centro de Investigación y Pruebas de Materiales Energéticos (EMRTC) en Socorro, NM, o en ubicaciones de unidades locales, estatales o tribales de respuesta a emergencias. El rol implica ser un experto en drones, capaz de enseñar sobre tecnologías y amenazas UAS y contra-UAS, y participar en el desarrollo y actualización del plan de estudios.

Responsibilities

  • The candidate must be a drone subject matter expert and capable of providing instruction across a wide area of UAS, Counter-UAS technologies and threats
  • Able to conduct research and identify resources relevant to DART training, threat mitigation, as well as counter technologies and strategies
  • Proficient with and able to instruct on real world topics such as:
  • Detection strategies
  • Identification methods
  • Threat assessment
  • Practical response techniques
  • Review course materials to ensure conformance with US law, regulations and compliance with FAA, DOW, DHS, and FBI
  • Participate in curriculum development and updates based on lessons learned and NMIMT and FEMA NTED standards
  • Maintain and comply with FAA Part 107 and NMIMT Instructor Certification Program requirements throughout the duration of assignment

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of First Responder drone flight experience, required
  • Possess substantial subject matter expertise in Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) assessment, tactics, response operations, and counter-UAS detection equipment
  • Law Enforcement (current or previous) experience
  • Experience as a classroom instructor
  • Remote Pilot Certificate with a small UAS rating, under FAA Part 107
  • Possess a high degree of organization and verbal and written communication skills and technical software skills
