As an Equipment Technician at MFE Inspection Solutions Canada, you will prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced inspection equipment including drones, robotics, NDT tools, and cameras for customer rentals and demonstrations. You will manage inventory, calibration records, and service documentation, and assist customers with technical inquiries. The role supports product demonstrations and training events, ensuring equipment is ready for delivery across Canada. This position is based on-site in the Toronto area and contributes to the company's mission of transforming industrial inspections.
Responsibilities
- Preparing inspection equipment, NDT, Drones, Robotics, Cameras, ROV, Sensors, and accessories for customer rentals and demonstrations
- Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and functional testing
- Troubleshooting equipment and coordinating repairs with manufacturers and service partners
- Managing inventory, equipment records, calibration certificates, and service documentation
- Receiving, inspecting, cleaning, and processing returned rental equipment
- Packing, shipping, and preparing equipment for customer deliveries across Canada
- Assisting customers with rental inquiries, equipment operation, and general technical questions
- Supporting product demonstrations, training events, and occasional customer visits
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe technical workspace
- Continuously learning about new inspection technologies and helping improve our internal processes
Requirements
- College diploma or university degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent industry-specific experience
- Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Remote Visual Inspection (RVI), environmental monitoring equipment, robotics, automation, or commercial drone systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using industry and inventory software and CRM software
Nice to have
- Transport Canada Advanced RPAS Certificate preferred (Basic Operations certification will also be considered)
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset
