Amazon Prime Air is revolutionizing delivery through autonomous drone technology, aiming to deliver packages to customers in 30 minutes or less. Our breakthrough technologies, including advanced BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) capabilities and sophisticated detect-and-avoid systems, have earned FAA approvals and are setting new standards in autonomous delivery.
With operations already successful in multiple locations and expansion planned, we're seeking an experienced Program Manager to develop and implement strategic operational frameworks. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of innovative technology, operational excellence and implementation, and strategic planning to help scale Prime Air's revolutionary delivery system.
The ideal candidate brings positive energy and enthusiasm that inspires teams and elevates the work environment. They have a demonstrated track record of delivering complex technical programs on schedule, and know how to tactfully hold deliverable owners accountable, keeping work moving and driving initiatives across the finish line without losing the trust of their partners. They are skilled at looking around corners, proactively identifying upcoming risks and dependencies before they become blockers, and developing mitigation strategies that keep programs on track. This role requires the ability to drive decisions in ambiguous environments, strong business acumen, and exceptional bias for action. You are an effective written and verbal communicator and can navigate competing priorities across a complex organization with high visibility to customers and stakeholders.
This role requires the candidate to be located near a major airport, as travel is expected to exceed 50% to support site launches, cross-functional team coordination, and operational expansion across multiple locations.
Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
Key job responsibilities

• Develop and execute program level mechanisms to succinctly define program status, risks, and solutions to Sr. Leadership
• Lead cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination across engineering, operations, and regulatory teams
• Drive projects across the finish line, ensure successful new site openings, and turnover to operations
• Travel 50%+ to support site launches, operational reviews, and cross-functional program milestones
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Travel up to 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Expertise with project management tools like Asana, Smartsheet, Quick Suite, etc

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
