As a Quality Manager, you will be a key part of the Production & Assembly Team, supporting the local manufacturing of advanced drone systems in Romania. You will work closely with stakeholders from Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Programs to establish and maintain a world-class quality management system. Your mission is to ensure the highest standards of product quality, process excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement while supporting the delivery of mission-critical systems trusted by NATO forces.
Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System across the Romanian production site.
- Define, implement, and monitor quality standards, procedures, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and root cause analysis activities.
- Establish and oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection processes.
- Manage internal and external audits and support certification activities.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to improve product quality and process capability.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and work with Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues.
- Analyze quality data, KPIs, non-conformities, and production trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Support new product introductions and industrialization activities from a quality perspective.
- Develop and mentor local quality personnel and foster a strong quality culture across the organization.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality topics and escalations.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Several years of experience in quality management within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, electronics, or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and international quality standards.
- Experience leading audits, compliance activities, and certification processes.
- Proven track record in root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with supplier quality management and production quality controls.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APQP, FMEA, 8D, or similar quality methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality metrics and drive data-based decisions.
- Leadership experience and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Romanian language skills are highly desirable.
