As a Solution Architect at Quantum-Systems, you will drive the development of integrated system designs for our unmanned platforms used in demanding defense and security environments. You will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and developing end-to-end solutions that balance business requirements, technical excellence, security standards, scalability, and cost. You ensure that solutions are robust, scalable, and mission-ready.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the architecture and design of ISR-focused aerial and other unmanned systems based on customer requirements, operational scenarios, and platform capabilities.
- Define and drive system-level solutions that align with military standards and interoperability requirements (e.g., NATO, BAAINBw).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with solution management, product management, software, and development teams to ensure technical coherence and mission effectiveness.
- Interface directly with internal and external stakeholders (including defense customers, government bodies, and integration partners).
- Produce and maintain system models, architecture views, and documentation using tools such as SPARX EA.
- Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks and support certification and qualification processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong background in systems design and architecture, ideally with defense and aerospace systems.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or System Architect, ideally in a defense-related domain.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks and tools (e.g., SPARX EA) and modeling standards.
- Experience with NATO Architecture Framework (NAFv4) and German defense architecture methodologies such as ADMBw is highly desirable.
- A university degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Business fluency in English and German is required.
- Willingness and eligibility to obtain security clearance under applicable national laws.
