A 12-month learnership opportunity is available for individuals seeking practical exposure within the drone technology and aviation sector. Running from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027, this structured programme combines workplace learning with skills development to help candidates build foundational experience in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations.
Standard full-time operational hours apply across the 12-month period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate fully in scheduled theoretical modules and workplace learning assignments across the 12-month duration.
- Assist with the planning, setup, and safe execution of drone flight operations under supervision.
- Maintain complete and accurate flight logs, equipment registers, and maintenance documentation.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight equipment checks to verify operational readiness and safety compliance.
- Support data collection, processing, and output reporting as required by operational tasks.
Requirements
- Valid, accredited drone licence or certification (e.g., Remote Pilot Licence / RPL).
- South African citizenship.
- Clear background check records.
- Demonstrated interest in technology, aviation, or spatial data.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- This appointment will be made in accordance with the company's Employment Equity Plan and policy. Preference may be given to candidates from designated groups.
Required Software Skills:
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office / Google Workspace).
