The Product Manager supports the development, launch, and lifecycle management of complex hardware or software products, contributing to planning, coordination, and execution from concept through end-of-life. The role collaborates daily with Product Line Management, Program Management, and Engineering, and engages with customers to ensure products align with market needs and business objectives. Responsibilities include go-to-market support, requirements development, market research, risk identification, and financial support for product lines.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to managing a product’s lifecycle from concept through retirement, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational goals.
- Works as a key partner with engineering, marketing, business development, and leadership teams to support coordinated product development, positioning, and execution.
- Assists in developing launch plans for new products and supports the transition of legacy products.
- Works closely with engineering and operations on new product introduction (NPI) and ensures alignment with go-to-market strategies.
- Supports the creation of technical and business requirements, user stories, and product specifications for Program Management, Engineering, and Operations.
- Conducts market analysis, gathers customer insights, and tracks competitive trends to help identify opportunities for product improvements or new offerings.
- Engages with customers to understand needs and challenges, bringing feedback into product planning.
- Collaborates with Engineering and Operations to ensure customer issues are addressed.
- Helps identify product and project risks and works with cross-functional teams on mitigation strategies.
- Reviews product performance metrics, helps identify areas for improvement, and communicates updates to stakeholders as needed.
- Assists with budgeting for product line R&D and sustainment activities and helps monitor financial performance for assigned products.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives in product development, manufacturing efficiency, cost management, and quality assurance.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a technical development or product-related environment.
- Knowledge of UAS systems and products.
- Proven ability to take initiative, work independently, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Experience supporting both R&D and product sustainment activities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across varying technical backgrounds.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with broad responsibilities.
- Strong initiative and commitment to achieving goals and supporting team objectives.
- Collaborative mindset, prioritizing team success over individual interests.
