We are seeking a skilled and motivated Harness Engineer to join our Research & Development Team at our modern production facility in Riga. The role involves creating wiring schematics, selecting wires and connectors, producing mechanical drawings and manufacturing documentation, and ensuring harness designs meet mechanical, electrical, installation, and manufacturability requirements. You will work closely with mechanical, electrical, and production engineers to support prototype development and production implementation.

Responsibilities

Creates wiring schematics and defines wiring routing, lengths, and connection points.
Selects suitable wires, connectors, terminals, insulation, protective materials, and harness mounting points.
Creates mechanical drawings and manufacturing documentation required for harness production required for harness production and assembly.
Ensures that harness designs meet mechanical, electrical, installation, and manufacturability requirements.
Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and productions Engineers to support prototype development and production implementation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Energetic, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360).
Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes related to harness systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in mechanical engineering.
Excellent communication and Teamwork abilities.

Nice to have

Proven experience in mechanical design and harness systems will be considered advantageous.
