The Production Engineer will be responsible for optimizing and improving production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety, and for industrializing new products. This includes analyzing and improving manufacturing processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, applying wiring-harness and IPC soldering standards, designing jigs and fixtures, and providing training to production staff.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to minimize waste, reduce costs and cycle times.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline production processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
- Perform the industrialization of electronic products.
- Apply wiring-harness, IPC soldering and ESD standards.
- Perform component and assembly diagnostics and analyze failures.
- Industrialize new products.
- Design and implement new production processes, including equipment selection and layout.
- Design Jigs and Fixtures required for production.
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams, P-FMEA and written instructions for production technicians.
- Provide training and support to production staff on new processes and equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is an advantage.
- Proven experience as a Electronics Engineer, Production Process Engineer, or NPI Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and electronics, including wiring diagrams, sensors, circuit boards, and programming.
- Familiar with PPAP elements.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Experience working in ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good written and spoken Latvian and English language.
