This Program Manager role leads complex development programs for unmanned aerial systems (UAS) at Redwire Corporation, taking ownership of customer-focused initiatives from proposal through development, manufacturing, delivery, and post-delivery support. The manager coordinates cross-functional teams, manages budgets and P&L, and ensures programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of assigned programs, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Lead internal R&D initiatives and drive innovation while meeting key project milestones.
- Coordinate all phases of product development, from proposal and system design to production and customer support.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the program lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates on program progress, risks, issues, opportunities, milestones, and performance.
- Manage customer field issues, including repairs and technical support, ensuring timely resolution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and other departments.
- Ensure effective collaboration and alignment with business objectives.
- Drive communication and decision-making across multiple stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, issues and capture opportunities.
- Coordinate root cause analyses and corrective actions.
- Monitor program KPIs and provide regular status reports.
- Manage program budgets and P&L responsibilities to achieve financial targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Program or Project Management, preferably within Aerospace, Defense, or UAV industries.
- Experience with New Product Development (NPD) processes and design milestones (PDR, CDR).
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel for business when required.
- English proficiency at CEFR B2 level or higher.
Nice to have
- PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Latvian, Lithuanian and/or Estonian is considered an advantage.
