As a Sr. Electrical Test Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be part of the avionics engineering team, developing test solutions for complex hardware in a safety-critical environment. You will lead the development of automated test equipment systems, analyze test results, author test plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role offers the opportunity to own a wide variety of testing essential for verifying avionics for unmanned aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of automated test equipment systems for functional, environmental qualification, and manufacturing acceptance tests
  • Analyze test results to identify failure modes, lead root cause investigations, and drive improvements back into designs
  • Author, execute, and audit test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful testing campaigns
  • Drive continuous improvement to test system infrastructure, processes, and practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of full cycle electronics hardware test or development experience in a professional environment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals
  • Extensive experience with test equipment, measurement techniques, and processes for hardware verification
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages (C, C++, Python) and ability to develop and maintain test software

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
  • Familiarity with formal industry test standards such as RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-461/810, or similar
  • Experience developing and simulating complex and manufacturable printed circuit board assemblies using tools such as Altium Designer and SPICE
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a leader of a high performing team

  • The estimated salary range for this position is $188,000 to $250,000/annual salary + cash and stock option awards + benefits.
