Sales Representative – Agri Drone Spraying Services (Andhra Pradesh) (Remote)

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Agri Drone Sales and Spraying Services Representative to promote and expand our services in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The ideal candidate will focus on selling both drone spraying solutions and agri drone products to farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and agribusinesses. This role involves developing new business, coordinating with drone pilots for service execution, and ensuring client satisfaction. Strong sales and relationship-building skills are essential for success in this position. 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and engage with farmers, FPOs, agricultural cooperatives, and agribusinesses to promote Agri Drone Spraying Services and drone products.
  • Proactively seek and secure new orders by visiting farms, conducting meetings, and offering tailored solutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify high-potential regions, crop segments, and clients that can benefit from drone technology.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to reach monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management:

  • Build strong relationships with farmers and FPOs by understanding their specific agricultural needs and challenges.
  • Organize on-site demonstrations of drone spraying, showcasing its benefits in terms of cost savings, efficiency, and increased crop yield.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction with services.
  • Actively seek feedback from clients to improve service offerings and foster long-term relationships.

Coordination with Drone Pilots & Co-Pilots:

  • Coordinate with drone pilots and co-pilots to ensure timely and efficient execution of spraying services once sales are confirmed.
  • Work closely with the operations team to schedule drone spraying activities, ensuring smooth communication between clients and the field team.
  • Ensure all technical requirements and client-specific instructions are conveyed to pilots and ground staff for accurate service delivery.
  • Manage service timelines and logistics, ensuring pilots are well-equipped and ready for operations at designated locations.

Promotions & Client Education:

  • Educate farmers, FPOs, and other stakeholders on the advantages of using drone technology for precision spraying, including reduced pesticide usage and improved crop health.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to organize field days, agricultural events, and expos to promote the company’s services.
  • Leverage digital tools, brochures, and presentations to enhance client awareness and interest in drone services.

Market Analysis & Reporting:

  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and client feedback to adjust sales tactics and enhance service offerings.
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and client data to senior management, ensuring clear visibility into the sales pipeline and market performance.
  • Analyze and report on client needs, emerging market opportunities, and challenges to support strategic decision-making.

Collaboration & Cross-functional Coordination:

  • Work closely with the logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of services after sales closure.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to address any operational challenges or client-specific requirements during drone spraying.
  • Assist with pricing strategies, promotions, and upselling initiatives based on customer insights and market feedback.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure all sales activities, contracts, and service agreements comply with local agricultural and aviation regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of client interactions, agreements, and service documentation for future reference.
  • Monitor payment schedules, contract renewals, and follow up with clients on service satisfaction and potential repeat business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the agriculture or agri-tech sectors.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, secure orders, and meet/exceed sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of agriculture, crop cycles, and farming challenges in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
  • Fluency in Telugu and Hindi is essential; English proficiency is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel extensively across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for client meetings, demonstrations, and fieldwork.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in selling agri-tech solutions or services.
  • Familiarity with drone technology, pesticide management, and precision farming methods.
  • Experience working with FPOs, farmers, and rural communities.
  • Strong local network within the agricultural sector and rural markets.

Work Conditions:

  • Frequent travel to rural areas and agricultural sites.
