The role involves supporting the development and implementation of the Technology Office's strategies and initiatives within the CAAS Technology Division, which focuses on enhancing Singapore's competitiveness as an international air hub through research and innovation. The Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager will draft business cases and proposals, support senior management in external engagements on technology matters, and manage existing programmes and funding sources, including tracking KPIs and grant administration. This is a one-year assignment.

Responsibilities

  • We are seeking an Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager for a one-year assignment, where your key roles and responsibilities include:
  • Supporting/Managing the development and implementation of Technology Office’s strategies and initiatives.
  • Drafting business cases/proposals to seek buy-in and funding for strategies and initiatives.
  • Supporting CAAS’ senior management in engagements with external parties on technology matters.
  • Manage existing programmes and funding sources, including tracking of KPIs, meeting secretariat duties, grant administration and utilization.

Requirements

  • Trained in Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills to communicate and market ideas effectively.
  • Possess professionalism and confidence in dealing with people at all levels, especially with industry stakeholders and other government agencies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, and good team player with ability to build consensus.
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude amidst a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the following is advantageous:
  • Managing R&D or similar programmes.
  • Public sector experience
  • Knowledge and experience in aviation trends and developments
  • Cross-functional and senior stakeholder engagement
