The company is seeking a Senior Operations Systems Engineer to build world-class operations and manufacturing systems supporting its scaling US manufacturing facilities. The role involves evaluating make-versus-buy decisions for applications and integrating third-party or bespoke Palantir applications to enable systems integration, automation, and AI insights. Working from an existing foundation of NetSuite, Arena, Jira, and a home-grown MES, the engineer partners with the business systems team and cross-functional stakeholders in supply chain and in-house production to understand pain points and deliver solutions that drive productivity, scalability, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders including production, supply chain, quality, planning, and engineering to conduct thorough problems and needs assessments
- Conduct make vs buy decisions to best meet the companies needs
- Manage 3P implementation projects by driving stakeholder engagement, defining project requirements, setting development milestones, and holding our development partners accountable for on-time deliverables
- Develop and implement applications and tools within Palantir’s product suite to optimize material flow, ECOs, production scheduling, factory execution, and quality
- Help integrate new data sources while maintaining the Palantir ontology
- Conduct regular meetings and generate reports on project status, highlighting achievements, challenges, and upcoming milestones to ensure all stakeholders are well-informed
- Solicit and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement across systems
Requirements
- Experience as an implementation lead for Palantir Foundry or similar products
- Working level knowledge of SQL, Python, and Java to support building and reviewing customized applications and data pipelines
- Have deep knowledge of operations and manufacturing systems and processes, including MES, MRP and PLM
- Deep understanding of best practices for defining data structures and building data pipelines to support long term, scalable applications
- Deep understanding of hardware and manufacturing business processes
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements and to make decisions in ambiguity
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with business stakeholders and third party developers
- Ability to prioritize tasks against competing development schedules to maximize effectiveness
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and cross-functional teamwork skills
- Ability to identify and address challenges proactively
Nice to have
- Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days of employment is strongly encouraged for all Skydio employees and required for certain positions.

The annual base salary range for this position is $145,000 - $219,000*.
