As an Electrical Engineer I, you will be involved in the initial phases of research, design, and development of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will assist in the design of integrated electrical/electronic systems, contributing to various stages of the product lifecycle under the guidance of senior engineers. The role is within the ISR, Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area, which is a leader in ISR and aviation systems integration.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.
- In some applications, support development of circuit card assemblies.
- Learn implementation of electrical wiring design practices.
- Support the testing and validation of electrical/electronic systems and components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications are met.
- Document technical designs, test procedures, and results.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and debugging of electrical/electronic circuits and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 0-2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.
- Basic understanding of electrical/electronic design and testing principles.
- Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Basic understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools.
- Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Nice to have
- Internship or project experience in electrical engineering.
- Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.
- Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
- Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing.
- Understanding of circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.
