As a Senior Systems Engineer at SNC, you will lead complex system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management activities. You will oversee major project deliverables, leveraging deep knowledge in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management. Your role involves mentoring team members and ensuring alignment with organizational goals within the ISR, Aviation, and Security business area.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit skills in requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE.
- Oversee and lead complex system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management activities.
- Manage major project deliverables and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Leverage deep knowledge in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Provide strong leadership and effective communication.
- Mentor and guide team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Expert proficiency with Systems modeling and simulation tools.
- Proven leadership experience in systems engineering.
- Demonstrated knowledge of multiple Engineering principles and practices.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and V&V principles.
Nice to have
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, mission systems, or defensive systems (e.g., EW, RWR, avionics, radar, communications).
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, Virtualization and Containerization Architecture
- Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS/JAMA, Cameo, MATLAB.
- Practical knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to, requirements management, MBSE.
- Experience or certification in International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards [Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP)/Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)].
- Ability to administer baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies.
- Exposure to establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Agile methodologies and Scrum Master certification.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, mission systems, or defensive systems (e.g., EW, RWR, avionics, radar, communications).

- Estimated Starting Salary Range: $143,487.14 - $197,294.82. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
