As a Structural Technician IV, you will oversee the most complex and critical assembly operations, providing expert technical support and leading large-scale projects. You will act as a key liaison between the production floor and engineering management, driving continuous improvement and innovation in assembly processes. This role is within the ISR, Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area, a leader in manned and unmanned aircraft systems integration.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute highly complex and critical assembly operations.
- Provide expert technical support and mentorship to all technician levels.
- Lead large-scale projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Act as a key liaison between the production floor and engineering management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and integrate best practices.
- Conduct advanced inspections and quality assurance checks.
- Develop and implement training programs for team members.
- Ensure optimal maintenance and calibration of all tools and equipment.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to enhance overall manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Mastery in blueprint reading and technical documentation.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch.
- Advanced experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, as applicable.
- Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Nice to have
- Associate’s degree in aerospace manufacturing or related discipline.
- Advanced certifications in aerospace manufacturing.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale assembly projects.
- Ability to travel.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

- Estimated Starting Salary Range: $34.90 - $47.99. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
