The SDU Drone Center at the University of Southern Denmark is seeking an engineer assistant to support its portfolio of ongoing and future research projects within Unmanned Aerial Systems. The role involves working on drone technologies and applications in areas such as nature conservation, precision agriculture, infrastructure inspection, and security and defence. The candidate will participate in the center's project portfolio and outreach activities, working at both SDU Campus and HCA Airport in Odense.
Responsibilities
- The candidate will be part of the SDU Drone Center and is expected to participate in the center's project portfolio and outreach activities.
Requirements
- Qualified candidates should have relevant experience and an engineering degree in drone technology, robotics, electronics, software, or other related fields at MSc level or higher, and should have expertise in several of the following areas:
- · Research and development within drone platforms, subsystems, and payloads (UAV, UGV, USV).
- · Mechanical design and construction
- · Composites
- · Electronics design and development.
- · Software design and development.
- · Embedded systems software
- · Sensors and signal processing.
- · UAS operations (experiments, piloting).
