This role involves traveling across the U.S. as part of a two-person field team to collect real-world traffic data for Wavetronix's traffic sensing technology. After about 2 months of paid training in Utah, you'll spend roughly 7 months traveling nationwide, setting up equipment, collecting data, flying drones (after training), and working closely with the engineering team. The position is project-based with 2 openings.
Responsibilities
- Travel throughout the U.S. as part of a two-person field team
- Drive a company vehicle and help plan travel routes
- Set up and operate traffic sensors, cameras, computers, and other equipment
- Collect, organize, and transfer field data
- Fly drones for approved data collections (training provided)
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Communicate regularly with the engineering team
- Work safely in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Able to travel extensively for approximately 9 months
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to obtain an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate during training
Nice to have
- Experience with technology, electronics, cameras, drones, or field work
- Experience with road travel, logistics, or outdoor work
- Current FAA Part 107 Drone License
