Zipline busca un Técnico de Mantenimiento de Aeronaves (UAS Technician) para ejecutar programas de mantenimiento programado y no programado de aeronaves, asegurando que cumplan con altos estándares y condiciones seguras de operación. El rol colabora estrechamente con ingeniería, operaciones de vuelo y otros equipos para resolver problemas, y requiere viajar dentro del área de servicio para realizar mantenimiento en sitio. El objetivo es mantener la flota de drones de Zipline en condiciones óptimas y documentar adecuadamente todos los procedimientos.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and perform work in accordance with Zipline’s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP)
  • Perform UAS Maintenance in accordance with Zipline’s General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Federal Aviation Administration regulations
  • Travel within the service area to perform in-site maintenance of Zipline aircraft systems
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace parts in accordance with manufacturer manuals
  • Maintain accurate aircraft maintenance records and document work associated with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Meet continuing training requirements to maintain certifications and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Basic engineering knowledge: mechanical, electrical and software
  • Mechanical and electrical integration and assembly and experience performing precision work with hand tools
  • This role is classified as a Safety Sensitive opportunity, and is therefore subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
  • Must be available to travel 80% during first month of employment to attend Zipline’s training program
  • Must be able to support shift work including, but not limited to days/evenings, weekends
  • Must be able to travel 5-10%, as necessary
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to receive FAA Repairman Certification
  • Ability to lift and or move up to 55 pounds
  • Must have a valid US Driver's License
  • 50% travel required for first 3 months of employment. Travel expenses covered by Zipline.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in aircraft maintenance or similar technician role
  • Experience in the use of procedure manuals, training materials, and operational procedures for sUAS operations
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with customers, resolving inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience.
