Senior Electronics Engineer, Effectors

DZYNE Technologies is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to serve as a technical owner and hands-on contributor across the full lifecycle of the company's aircraft and launcher electrical systems. The engineer will perform circuit and subsystem design, system integration, troubleshooting, harness design, avionics/electronic system testing, and data analysis. This role reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager and works directly with Vehicle Technical Leads and Program Managers, leading PCB design cycles and supporting new product development and active deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead full PCB design cycle involving requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, functional verification, and performance tests
• Design, develop, integrate, and debug avionics systems/subsystems
• Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses connecting systems within the air vehicle
• Support design updates driven by product improvements, obsolescence, and evolving requirements
• Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
• Work closely with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to support new product development and active deployments in a fast-paced environment
• Mentor other engineers and promote sound engineering practices

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience
• Demonstrated capability in complex circuit board design, bring-up, signal/power integrity analysis, and validation
• Proven experience in designing electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, documentation, system level integration and troubleshooting
• In-depth understanding of Analog/Mixed-signal, Digital, or RF circuit components
• Detailed working knowledge of common test equipment, and CAD tools such as Altium
• Excellent problem solving and planning skills
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have

• Experience in designing electronics for robotic and/or aircraft systems
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, common serial interfaces, high speed communication, and firmware/software integration
• UAV experience highly desirable
• Experience working in small to medium sized teams in a fast-paced R&D environment
• Familiarity with MIL-spec hardware and harnessing
