Evolito is seeking a Quality Engineer to act as a quality focal point for project teams, ensuring compliance with business processes and regulatory requirements. The role involves supporting the development and implementation of processes in line with AS9100, driving APQP activities, and leading internal and external investigations. The engineer will also participate in audits and work with process owners to resolve non-conformances.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the development and implementation of business processes and systems in compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements
- Acting as the Quality focal on development projects
- Driving APQP activities
- Drive for FAIR and PPAP completion
- Acting as a business management system auditor
- Taking part in customer/supplier visits and audits as required
- Working with process owners to drive closure of non-conformances
- Leading internal and external investigations to identify root cause and corrective actions
- Involvement in change management and design for assembly/manufacture
- Support in the development and deployment of quality objectives
Requirements
- Previous proven experience within a Quality Engineering role, ideally within aerospace
- Familiar with CAA regulations Part21G and Part21J
- Knowledge of AS9100 and Process Auditing, AS9100 Lead audit preferable
- Experience with Quality Improvement Programmes, Pareto, PFMEA, 5s, 6 Sigma or similar continuous improvement tools
- Experience with internal and external audits
- Experienced in the use of APQP tools and techniques, familiarity with AS9145 preferred
- Experienced in the use of statistical analysis, process capability and problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6 Sigma etc.) and techniques
