We are looking for a senior, versatile hands-on Hardware Engineer to independently own PCB development from architecture and component selection through schematic design, layout, bring-up, debugging, and release to production. This role requires someone who is comfortable doing the work hands-on, while serving as a technical focal point through design reviews, mentorship, and close collaboration with software, mechanical, and system engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Own board-development projects end to end - components choice and electrical system definition, schematic design, hands-on PCB layout, transfer to production, hands-on board bringup, testing, debugging and validation
  • Serve as a professional focal point for PCB design across digital, mixed-signal, RF, and power domains, leading schematic and layout design reviews
  • Collaborate closely with mechanics, embedded software and system engineers during design, integration and testing
  • Expand to broader technical initiatives outside of core PCB design, such as embedded software, RF system-level work, and other areas of additional expertise

Requirements

  • Ability to independently drive rapid board iterations while collaborating effectively with hardware, software, mechanical, and system engineering counterparts
  • 6+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience
  • Proven experience delivering PCB designs from concept to production
  • Extensive hands-on PCB layout experience using professional ECAD tools
  • Strong digital and mixed-signal design fundamentals; experience with digital interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, MIPI, and CAN bus
  • Experience with basic RF circuit design and RF PCB layout, including controlled impedance, matching networks, grounding, and shielding
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
  • B.Sc. in electrical or electronics engineering, or equivalent experience

Nice to have

  • Embedded software development experience
  • RF front-end design, antenna integration, RF measurements, or VNA experience
  • KiCad experience
  • Experience with military, industrial, or similar certification processes
