About Flybi

Flybi Technologies measures stockpiles, mines and industrial sites from the air — drone LiDAR, photogrammetry and airborne magnetics with audit-grade, density-measured volumetric reports. Listed steel producers, state power utilities and integrated mining groups buy it on a recurring basis. The service is proven and repeatable. What we need now is the person who takes it to the next wave of plants.

Where we are going

Flybi is a founder-led company building a repeatable services business across steel, power, mining, cement and ports, alongside our own geospatial platform. This seat has room to shape how its function runs, and you will be measured on numbers you can see.

How we work with AI

Every department here uses AI daily and we expect a closer to be the sharpest user of it in the building. Large language models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for account research before a site visit, for reading a 200-page tender or a plant's annual report in twenty minutes, for first-draft proposals and technical write-ups, for turning a site walk into a written account plan the same evening, and for structuring a weighted forecast out of a messy pipeline. Our CRM's built-in AI and our meeting-transcription tools are part of the stack.

What AI will never do here is the relationship or the judgement. It cannot sit in a mine manager's office, read the room, or decide what to concede in a negotiation. Use it to arrive at every meeting better prepared than any competitor's salesperson — and check every technical number it produces before it reaches a customer. A wrong volumetric figure in a proposal costs us the account.

What you will own

  • The stock-verification engine: thermal power stations, steel plants, ports and cement — new logos from first meeting to purchase order.
  • The compliance-retainer play: mine-lease survey obligations (MCDR / Rule 34A) sold as an annual retainer to lease holders.
  • Converting the meetings our inside-sales desk books; running site walks, pilot surveys, proposals and negotiations to close.
  • Channel and partner cycles alongside the founders; a clean CRM pipeline with a weighted forecast every Friday.

What you will be measured on

  • New-logo orders per quarter.
  • Weighted pipeline value.
  • Win rate on quoted work.

You are not

A deck presenter who needs an SDR team and a marketing budget before the first call. You bring a rolodex, not a slide.

Location and hours

Kengeri, Bengaluru (nearest metro: Kengeri, Purple Line). Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Saturday is a full working day — not a half day, not alternate Saturdays. When you are not travelling you work from our Kengeri office.

There is no remote, hybrid or work-from-home option, now or later. Please do not apply if you need one.

Travel 8–10 days a month across India.

Compensation

₹6,00,000 to ₹12,00,000 per annum (CTC, including 25% variable). Fixed pay aligned to experience plus a percentage of new-logo revenue, uncapped — discussed openly on the first call. PF, travel on actuals, and a 90-day probation review against the three numbers above.

How we hire

Screening questions with your application → a 20-minute call with the Head of Revenue → an account plan on a real target (a thermal power station or a steel plant) presented to the founders, 30 minutes → two references including a former customer → offer within 48 hours. Every application is acknowledged within 24 hours.

A note on the screening questions. We use AI here every day and we will hand you the tools on day one. But answer these questions from your own experience, in your own words. We check what you tell us with your references. An answer that is not your own ends the application.

Requirements

  • 4–8 years selling industrial services or survey/inspection instruments to steel, power, mining, cement or port companies — survey-equipment dealers, testing/inspection firms, industrial-inspection or drone-services companies.
  • Personally closed orders of ₹10 lakh and above with plant heads, purchase heads or mines managers, and can name them.
  • Written proposals and handled PSU/large-corporate procurement (vendor registration, GeM, e-tenders) without hand-holding.
  • Working use of AI tools in your sales day — account research, tender or report reading, proposal drafting, forecasting. You can name what you use and what it changed about how you sell.
  • Comfortable on a mine bench or a coal yard, and on an 8–10 travel day month.
  • Hindi and English essential.

Benefits

  • Fixed pay aligned to experience, plus an uncapped variable paid on results.
  • Paid AI tool subscriptions and a company that expects you to use them.
  • Provident Fund; conditional monthly attendance allowance.
  • A written role card with three measurable numbers, reviewed at 90 days; six-month probation.
  • Paid leave per the Flybi leave policy (casual, sick and earned leave), 10 holidays, marriage leave.
  • Real work with major industrial clients, and a founder-led company that promotes owners.
