This role is Neros' forward-deployed link between business development and the field, turning European military relationships into hands-on training, demonstrations, and fielded capability. Working within the EMEA Growth team, the person will spend significant time in-country with allied and partner forces, building credibility and trust on the ground. They will deploy to customer sites across Europe to deliver FPV and interceptor training, support BD-led demonstrations, and build direct relationships with operational units. They will also feed field intelligence back to the Growth and BD teams and help stand up repeatable field-support processes.
Responsibilities
- Deploy to customer and partner sites across Europe to deliver FPV and interceptor training alongside the Training Lead
- Support BD-led demonstrations and campaign events, ensuring systems, training content, and field logistics are ready and credible in front of end users
- Build direct relationships with operational units and program offices, acting as Neros' trusted point of contact in the field rather than relying solely on HQ-driven outreach
- Represent Neros technical and operational credibility to defence stakeholders — translating BD conversations into real capability demonstrations that move deals forward
- Feed field intelligence back to the Growth and BD teams to sharpen regional strategy
- Help stand up repeatable field-support processes (training packages, demo playbooks, deployment checklists) that can scale as the EMEA team grows
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in military, defence business development, field operations, or operational training roles
- Prior military service, ideally with FPV/UAS, fires, reconnaissance, or dismounted combat arms experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering hands-on training or instruction to military, government, or partner-force audiences
- Experience operating in multi-country or international deployment environments, including austere or unfamiliar locations
- Familiarity with FPV drones, UAS/counter-UAS systems, or related tactical technology (direct operator or instructor experience strongly preferred)
- Track record of building and maintaining relationships with military units
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50%+) across Europe and the Middle East, including short-notice deployments
- Active security clearance, or demonstrated ability to obtain one
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience briefing senior military or government audiences
- Proficiency with standard office and collaboration tools (Microsoft Office, Slack, Teams, Zoom)
Nice to have
- Existing network or relationships within European or Middle Eastern military, MOD, or defence circles
- Experience with a defence technology startup or fast-scaling commercial organisation, particularly in a BD-adjacent or field support capacity
- Language skills relevant to priority markets (e.g. German, French, Arabic, or another EMEA/MENA regional language)
- Familiarity with export control considerations (ITAR/EAR, UK export licensing) relevant to fielding US-origin defence technology internationally
- Prior experience as a Field Service Representative (FSR), Field Application Engineer (FAE), or similar technical field role with a hardware component
Benefits
- $67,500 – $94,500 USD
